Main Uses of Firefighting Equipment

1. Fire Hydrant Box: In case of fire, depending on the opening mechanism of the box door, press the spring lock on the door; the pin will automatically disengage. After opening the box door, remove the fire hose reel, pull out the hose, and simultaneously connect the hose connector to the fire hydrant connector. Press the fire hydrant alarm button inside the box, and turn the indoor fire hydrant handwheel in the opening direction to start spraying water for fire extinguishing.

2. Fire Hose: The fire hose is a water-spraying tool for fire extinguishing. When connected to a fire hose, it sprays a dense and powerful stream of water. It has advantages such as long range and large water volume. It consists of main components such as a hose thread connector, nozzle body, and nozzle. A direct-flow switch fire hose is a direct-flow fire hose with the addition of a ball valve switch, allowing control of the water flow.

3. Hose Connector: The hose connector is used to connect fire hoses, fire trucks, fire hydrants, and fire hoses to facilitate the delivery of water and foam mixtures for fire extinguishing. It consists of a body, sealing ring seat, rubber sealing ring, and retaining ring, among other components. The sealing ring seat has grooves for securing the hose. It features good sealing performance, quick and easy connection, and resistance to detachment. Pipe thread interface: installed at the water inlet end of the water gun; internal thread fixing interface installed at the outlet of the fire hydrant, fire pump, etc.; these all consist of a body and sealing ring, with one end being pipe thread and the other end being internally threaded. They are all used to connect hoses.

4. Fire Hose
Fire hoses are flexible hoses used for delivering water at fire scenes. Fire hoses can be divided into lined fire hoses and unlined fire hoses according to their materials. Unlined hoses have low pressure resistance, high resistance, are prone to leakage, are susceptible to mold and corrosion, and have a short lifespan; they are suitable for installation in building fire scenes.

5. Indoor Fire Hydrant
A fixed fire-fighting tool. Its main function is to control combustibles, isolate oxidizers, and eliminate ignition sources. Indoor Fire Hydrant Usage:

a. Open the hydrant door and press the internal fire alarm button (this button is for both alarm activation and starting the fire pump).

b. One person connects the nozzle and hose and runs to the fire location.

c. Another person connects the hose and valve.

d. Open the valve counter-clockwise to release water. Note: For electrical fires, ensure the power is cut off.

6. Outdoor Fire Hydrants: These are fixed fire-fighting connection devices installed outdoors. Types include above-ground, underground, and directly buried telescopic hydrants.

Above-ground hydrants connect to the ground, making them convenient to operate, but they are susceptible to impact and freezing. Underground hydrants offer better freeze protection, but require a large underground well, and firefighters must enter the well to collect water, making operation inconvenient. Directly buried telescopic hydrants are normally retracted below ground level and pulled out for use. They are less prone to impact and have better freeze protection than above-ground hydrants; they are also more convenient to operate than underground hydrants, and direct burial installation is simpler.

7. Water Tank A water tank is a storage tank connected to fire-fighting pipelines. It is mainly used for water supply during a fire and can better prevent the spread of fire and extinguish it.
